DVD Case And Ending Screen

When a film is released on DVD the image on the case is very recognisable, so that it catches peoples eye who have seen it in the cinema and what to purchase the DVD releasing a DVD is a very typical of a film company after the film has been out in the cinema. We decided as a group that we would have a go at creating our own DVD case to see what it would look like, we used photoshop to create it, here it is below:

I think the DVD case look brilliant i think that it looks really professional and very conventional. We added the tagline underneath the title saying "when you find it don't let it go". which we thought looked very professional, we also added star ratings as this is also atypical convention of a DVD case. We wanted to use the same picture and text as our poster so that the audience will recognise it as soon as they see it on the shelf we are very pleased with the outcome of this case and think it works really well.

When we watched a few trailers in our research we also noticed that at the very end of the trailer they advertise the website link, so you can find out more information of the film like this on from "The Vow" trailer.

They also have use of the social networking site Facebook, we felt this is another way in which we could advertise our film as people are always on this website we also think it would advertise our film to a wider audience, therefore people will know more about the film and will want to come and watch it. So we decided to create our own version in Photoshop.

I think this looks brilliant, I think its really effective and will catch peoples eye with the blue Facebook  logo against the black background. I think this is another really effective and modern way to advertise our film to a wider audience and it will create a really strong impact at the end of our trailer.
